Book clubs are under the direction of Miss Aghbashian, our school librarian, and are conducted after school in the library. Any student from grades five through eight can join. Fourth graders will also be allowed to join if they get a recommendation from their teacher. Once a book is complete, the club watches a movie based on the book, both rewarding them for their hard work as well as giving them an opportunity to critically assess how the book's plot was adapted to entertain a screen audience. Both book clubs cost $25 apiece, covering the costs of the books as well as the movie. Students who join after the club has started will need to read past chapters in order to catch up.
