Summer Program
Every summer, Alta Loma Christian School offers a summer program for all children who are going into Preschool through 8th grade. Our 1st-8th grade program will be offering a great mix of fun and learning. In the midst of various exciting summer activities that include on-campus field trips and water days, children will be reviewing their prior grade level skills in language arts, math, and science, working toward a smooth transition to the next grade level and introducing advanced concepts in these subjects. Returning ALCS students will also be able to continue their AR reading and computer work in the computer lab, all students will have enrichment lessons in Computers, and a Bible lesson will be a part of each day’s curriculum.
Preschool and kindergarten children will also have a similar summer program available that combines academic learning with engaging activities that develop the “whole” child (socially, behaviorally, and spiritually). In addition to several on-campus field trips and water days, students will review essential skills and concepts in phonics and math, as well as an array of enrichment activities including art, music, science and learning through play. A Bible lesson will also be a part of each day’s curriculum, and students will be able to use the computers in the computer lab. (Please see the PDF below for there activities and daily schedule.)
Please see the 1st–8th grade daily schedule (PDF below) for a complete listing of all the activities the kids will be doing! Students who attend the Stay Smart Program have an easier transition to the next grade level and are able to jump right back into the AR reading program. Help your children maintain the academic skills they have worked so hard to achieve this year! Join us in our Stay Smart Program this summer to learn and have fun with their friends!
Both the preschool-kindergarten and 1st-8th programs will be offered every Monday through Friday from June 3 to July 26 (except Monday, June 19 and Monday-Tuesday, July 4-5).
Students may be signed up and registered per week or by the day. However, weekly fees provide savings of up to $100 over “daily” fees. Tuition for the summer programs are as follows:
Registration Fee (both programs): $125.00 ($discounted to $50 if registered by April 21)
Preschool-Kinder Tuition: $240 per week, or $100 per day
1st-8th Grade Tuition: $200 per week, $160 for any three non-field trip days, $180 for three days including one field trip day, or $95 per day
